Obviously depends on how big/little the leak is .... but likely to be OK  ;)

Run away from the dealers! A better option would be to take it to Serek (SOS Autos, a member here). It will be worth the trip to Huntingdon along the ever-loving M6; he willdo a proper job, including clearing the breathers (essential to avoid repeated oil leaks) and he will not have your trousers down with his charges. :y

That's the official price for ONE camcover. Taking it to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

HenryD runs a garage in Cornwall, so could be worth a side step whilst there ;)

I wonder if Lookers would actually use genuine GM gaskets. I would guess that if original gaskets are still available then it would only be by special order from Germany. And on a 7-10 day delivery. More likely they they would just use whatever's cheapest on the day from a local motor factor.

The more labour intensive part of this job is not the dismantling and re-assembly. It's the cleaning. All crud, sealant and varnishing needs to be carefully removed from the mating surfaces or the new seals will rapidly fail. The bores in the breather bridge and the hoses need to be thoroughly cleaned. And maybe also the chamber at the back of the block. Not to mention that most, if not all of the breather seals and hoses are no longer available. So they have to be carefully salvaged and re-used. EG. the top-hat seal and the Y pipe. So you're probably better off getting somebody who know what they're doing for this job.

What Ron says  :y

Yes, and I would also agree with that! :y :y

Although I have enjoyed doing the job many times, it was great to get Serek to do the job, the cam belt, cleaning the breathers and changing the front wishbones at the same time, whilst I took it easy in the local Dunelm store drinking coffee! 8) 8) :D ;)

I would highly recommend Serek who did a great job all round, fully understanding the Omega, and I will be using him again ;)

There was a time when they wouldn't sell the gaskets without the covers :o
