Can anyone point me to a guide that shows how this comes out please? My Parrot blue tooth has packed up, and I think is connected somewhere behind it. :y

Radio out.
Ashtray out, single screw reached over the top.
Two screws behind the top corner of the radiator.
Pull away trim.
Six screws to remove the cage assembly. *
This will require unplugging all the switches, the climate panel and the sockets for the switches... :y

How does the radio come out? I can see 4 holes in the front panel. :-\

they have allen grub screws, assuming not lost.
When these are out, normal radio keys can remove the radio in normal way (but in omegas have tendency to stick a bit)

but a facelift uses a double din head so they keys are the same idea but wider.

Well, it is sticking a bit. How far in do the double din tools go? I can get mine in up to the bends in the tool. Do they have to be in this far? It seems, with the side switchlites out, I may have to apply leverage to the unit from the sides which I prefer not to do. :-\

they do go in a lot , cheap pins are not machined correctly at the tips ,they should catch and grip the springs .
try pulling the pins apart (towards the doors) while wiggling the unit toward you
they are a snug fit

However I am now unable to remove the cage. Is there anything other than the Phillips screw at the back holding it in?

From memory .... there are various tabs along the front edge of the cage (top, bottom & sides) that hold the cage in situ

I don't remember removing a cage ,think my touchscreen cage fitted inside what was there , sorry :-[

Bend it inwards at the centre of each side.

The tool you use for fuel filter clips is almost designed for this job :y

Yes, tabs around the cage.
The antenna connectors for radio/gps/phone have those little clips you have to pry from the inside of the cage - get a torch in it, its obvious (though fiddly)
On refit, get some silicone spray, and spray the cage and non exposed bits of the radio unit (avoiding connectors/fans etc!), as this will reduce the amount of sticking next time.

Yes I can see how it comes out, it has 3 plastic clips, but like most ancient plastic they will be age hardened, so I am reluctant to use my usual skilful engineering ability ::) to prise it out, due risk if breaking.
Unfortunately I don't have the filter clip removal tool :(, although I should get one as I have a new filter in reserve.

I should mention why this is coming out. My Parrot Blue tooth is dead so I need to check where the connections are from the previous owners fitment. Although he left a sketchy wiring diag. it must come through an unknown fuse, and all are OK. :-\

A filter tool would be difficult to get in place. I find a long screwdriver works
