Easy fix and nice touch today
« on: 25 September 2011, 21:40:56 »

Went to look at an Omega today, 3.0 manual, W plate MV6 explod, seller told me over the phone that it use to go like rocket sh#t but since hes wife has been driving it its become gutless. Went to view this morning fully expecting to find codes and maybe cam sensor, nothing, started on the button, no probs. Took it it for a kick spin and within 10 nano seconds noticed throtle pedel totally inacurate, about 15 percent avaiable, took it back poped the bonnet and found the steel circlip missing at the end of the throtle cable, paid the man his money for the car, drove it round the corner and slapped a cable tie on the throtle cable, She drives like a dream and very quick.

Job done ;)

In all fairness to me I payed the guy what he wanted, which was not much, probably could have earnt  50 notes if I took it striaght in to a scrapy, the guy just wanted rid of it, so no guilt involed. :y

Everyone was happy at the end of the day. The seller got the price he wanted and the buyer spotted an easy fix  ::)

Nice one mate, enjoy  :y

I wish things like this would happen to me, I usually pay exorbitant prices then find it was worth 25% of that  ::)

Nicely played all the same  :y
