Bonnet not releasing
« on: 21 September 2009, 15:40:03 »

Anybody had problems with the bonnet release, catch or mech?
I pull the lever fully but it just does not want to budge so can't lift the bonnet at present.
I seem to remembe it all appeared to be well greased.

Then when you have the bonnet open undo the clip holding the cable RH side and take up the slack in it.
I did this when mine was difficult to open (facelift) and it now opens perfectly.

When mine would not open, I found that if I wound the two rubber buffers in so there was slack in the catch it opened right away :y :y
