heater control panel bulbs

hi all
 
i need to replace mine....do i need to remove the panel switches i.e heated seats/ air con etc. ( as the Haynes manual suggests ) before removing the panel?

Hi, if it has climate control and is pre facelift, it is not necessary to remove switches, just remove radio, make sure you have the code, remove ashtray, behind ashtray you will see two phillips screws, remove these and then put your hand through radio aperture, you should be able to feel a square bar upwards and towards the back, pull down on this and the whole panel should come out.

thanks for that. mine doesn't have climate  :(  so the switches will have to come out.
