It's my second/show car mate. Not that it got to any shows this year  ::) It's tucked up in may garage now and won't be seeing daylight again until May next year. It will be given a once-over through winter though and a service before its MOT (which I hope it will pass!!)

Picking up my new daily driver up tomorrow.... my 2.2 Omega Estate (look out for a new thread on that  ;))

That might have been a tad optimistic  ::) ::) ::)

There used to be a white GSi around here that was apparently turbo'd ........ I last saw it making LOTS of thick black smoke along a local by-pass!  :(

Yeah, those digi speedo's were always good at fooling the driver into false expectations  ;)
Seriously though, even if the speedo was out by 10mph giving a true speed of 158mph that's quite possible, anymore than that and you're in Lotus Carlton territory.

My Digi speeds are all over the place half the time especially if I've been playing with the cruise control, you don't want to be approaching any speed traps when that's happening!!  :-\

Gorgeous car, the underbody shot showing the fuel tank could almost be described as sexy... a real credit to you. :y

I'm sure I've seen it twice recently, parked outside an industrial unit close to W-ton town centre??

Thanks Brikhead, though it's not this car that you've seen (at least I hope not  :o) she's wrapped up warm in my garage, must be another Gsi floating about then, common as muck these things!!  ;D

A super looking motor mate. Had an F plate manual myself a few years ago. Very enjoyable drive and still suprisingly quick with 375k on it. Sold it to get the ,mig. Also had a pair of 3.0 24V Diamond estates, the GSI estate as some people call them. We have several very nice examples over at ABS, most are in red though.
