Exhaust Improvements?

Hey I was curious if anyone has tried puting an H pipe or X pipe in place of the stock resonators? Was there gains or losses?
In theory it would def relief a little pressure from the system.. an x would probly eliminate a lot of pressure.. but if the pressure relief causes the flow of pulses to get out of whack... ur talking about loosing some performance and building back pressure..
Im curious to know from people who have tried it. And what the thoughts were.

Omegas have a fairly free flowing exhaust, so no problems with standard. Manifolds are the restriction...

Nope, I don't believe either of those do, and if the did the price would be comical!  :o

I think you would need to take a pair of manifolds to a specialist exhaust maker and see what they could do.

omegav6cd has a very nice blue flame exhaust.....best one i have yet to see.

I have a Power flow system fitted at TOP GEAR Northwest Ltd BURNLEY. They did a complete cowboy job on mine. What they did was cut the pipes off at the cats and joined on from there, god knows why they didn't use the flanges that are already there like there supposed to. Also where each piece slides onto the other they made it too big and the joints aren't a nice fit so after the sealant they used broke down with the heat from the cats it started blowing. And this was there second attempt at it after they made a mess of there first attempt. Had to get Ron Jordan onto them after there first attempt, but after there second go I have just given up on them http://www.zen17068.zen.co.uk/Powerflow.JPG  So this all means if I want rid of the exhaust I have to replace the cats as well, am not amused. So if you do goto power flow be VERY careful which one you use

I've used the powerflow agent in Bromley kent and top job....very through, every joint a proper flange and perfect seal. All hangers and welds clean and painted

Same as powerflow! I went to www.longlife.co.uk & had a custom made job from the cats back, chose the mid sports option, with a oval tailpipe that fits in the bumper contour just right. Couldn't wish for better, 2 hour job, with free coffee & internet access while you wait, custom made to fit,  sounds superb, looks a treat & lifetime warranty.  :y

As for the flanges on the cats, who'd want to keep them? If I ever want the cats replaced, they will do the job, & who would ever want to go back to a standard system?  :o

Next time it's on a ramp I'll get a picture - didn't think about it when it was done!  :-/

The welding on that looks like a monkey did it! Not being rude to monkeys of course - I believe they are very intelligent, but perhaps not too good with welding gear  :'(

I think its the singeing fur that stops em doing a good job  ;D
