  Hi all, we had the AGM for ABS yesterday and with the sucsessful display this year of a feature car, Monza, next years feature car for Billing will be the Omega. We wish to extend an invite to OOF members to join us on our field over the weekend for the sunday display to get as many Omega B,s on the field as possable. A lot of us get there on the friday and camp for the whole weekend so if any of you wish to do so, no problem. Nearer the time, I will put up a contact for the window stickers that the VBOA insist on

Omega General Help / 2.5 TD F/L rad

  Can anyone tell me if the rad from a P/F/L is the same as a F/L model please? I think one end tank has a split in it and have seen one advertised as fitting all from 94-01 and another  as up tp 99 and another 99-01. Mine is an auto as well. thanks all

  I may have a fault with the alternator on my W plate 2.5 TD. Would an alternator from a V6 fit mine?

    Hi all, the 93156954 VOF 93 oil filter, I was told some inside information that VX have stopped production of these.  They now want you to buy a long life filter that is twice the price. Time to stock up from your local dealer?

Meetings, gatherings, parties etc / ABS treasure hunt, August 17th

   Hi all, as part of my prize for winning last yeras treasure hunt , run by ABS, I was given the task of organising this yeras event. It is on a saturday and will start at the Birchanger services at J8 of the M11, around 9am. It takes a ramble accross Essex, finishing at a car show on Mersea Island, Essex. Around 35/40 miles of Essex potholes to avoid and a few speed cameras thrown in for good measure with a selection of questions to answer to see how alert people are. as its being run in Essex, white stilletos and a mini skirt are compulsory, and the ladies can dress up to if they wish . If anyone is interested, PM me by August 10th as we need to know numbers for the organisers. There is camping available on the saturday night as the site is a holiday site and a breakfast morning is being arranged on the sunday for the campers.

   Dont know if its already been posted as I have been away. Whos going to this years Billing?  On the ABS stand we are having the postponed celebration of the Monza from last year. Prehaps I may see some of you there, I have a turquoise Merc Sprinter camper, with some club shop signs on it somewhere. I,m travelling up friday morning so should be there lunchtime.
Next years feature car for ABS is going to be the Omega. As with this years display, as many as possable are to be displayed in the field centre

   Just come back from Cems lovely country after a fortnights hols. 35-40 c every day, endless supply of EFES, pool virtually to our selves....... we even saw THREE clouds in the distance one day!!

  Any body going to this tomorrow? Its at the conexions centre, Coventry from 10am. I am taking a car load of bits to see if I can move them on. Albs had expressed interest in going as well but has unfortunatly had to work. See you there if any body goes.

   On my way back from Humbuckers yesterday, I passed a local filling station on the A1101. The unleaded was 163.9 and diesel at 169.9 . I had filled up in Wisbech for the trip back at a BP for 143.9 for diesel. Unbelivable but I would imagine everywhere will be at that price by the end of this year

General Car Chat / Mercedes Sprinter

   I just bought a Mercedes Sprinter camper van on a 53 plate. on the trip home I got a warning light up on the dash with EMD in red on it. Several miles later, I came across a flooded road with about two foot deep water. i drove through slowly but afterwards got another warning light with a picture of a wheel and staggered lines around it, ABS? If so on this one, prehaps because the sensors got so wet. Any thoughts people?

General Car Chat / Glove box removal

  Before i start searching trough the maintenance guides, is there one for removing the glove box lid? I need to replace the handle as mine broke off. Got a new one from VX and have switched the barrel already but cant see all the fixings to get inside/lid off for replacing it. thanks all.
