Seat compatability

I'm thinking they won't but would 02 CD seats work in a 97 2.5 TD?

Physically they'll fit no probs. the only issues I can think are if yours is a PFL '97 car, not a MFL '97 car...

Different multiplugs. AFAIK the looms changed for the MFL, and they're the 'same' from then on. (I have stripped PFL and MFL doors and found the loom differences to my cost!) Not sure if they use different shaped multiplugs on the seat looms, though.

Pretensioners. MFL cars have difference seat pretensioners to PFL.

Side airbags - If your 97 car doesn't have airbags (so confirms it as a PFL), then you're fitting seats that DO have side airbags...but they're inert, and I can't see any issues with dormant airbags. If both cars have side airbags, well, again, can't see an issue.

I don't see an issue, but someone else may be along with knowledge I don't have.
