Trade Card Expiry
« on: 15 October 2010, 11:28:00 »

Hello, as a regular user of TC for business use I was surprised to note that my current membership card had expired at the end of July 2010 and I had not received a replacement.

I presumed that a replacement would be sent but to avoid any future embarrassment at the parts department I rang the guy in charge of Trade Club (Vauxhall Luton) to see if he could send me a replacement.

He was not surprised and suggested that they were not sending out new ones until the new Trade Book in 2011.

On visiting my local dealer they happily processed my order as usual but I was ready for a "battle" if they had said no.

Has anyone received a replacement TC card recently?

I had the same a week ago, never noticed it had an expiry.

Parts guy said I had 'dropped off the system' as I probably hadn't used it enough. I got the parts at trade price but apparently I may struggle next time :'(

Its not unusual for them to run out before the new ones are sent out (normally with the new book in early spring).

Don't worry about it. TC is now being run by a different comany on behave of GM, they now run the Opel & Chevy version as well.

Due to all the new work they are putting in behind the scens with new dealer webb site etc the new card will follow at a later date

As for a dealer saying you have dropped of the system then it there DMS you have dropped off of not the trade clud data base, belive me its more or less impossible to get some removed from it

One thing this new company have said they are going to do is have a major clean up of the data base which will mean checking registered members are motor trader or the like or are a club that belongs to the VBOA. I don't think this will ever happen as there arn't
that many dealers who keep there records up to date

If anyone has any problem they can always PM me and i'll see if i can help out

Cheers

I don't know if any of you chaps would be able to answer this question, but having just bought an Omega today, (2003 V6 CDX), which needs quite a few things doing to it, I was going to apply for a Trade Card though the Autobahnstormers website. Do any of you know how soon I could expect the card to arrive?

Cheers.
