Ive fitted loads of crank sensors to vectras astras and a couple of omegas, usually when the rev counter stops thats a sign that crank sensor is faulty, shame your not closer as id take a look, your dealer shouldnt charge too much just for a diagnosis.

Sounds like crank sensor fault which is common on those 2.2 and 2.0 variants. Not all dealers are bad i work in one....

Sounds like an injection pump problem especially with that fuel quantity code stored, pretty common on the 2.5 td. The pump change is not too much of a job really.

Hi just to let you know its the heater reastat thats at fault, common on the ones with climate, located by the heater motor with glovebox removed.

Police speedos are calibrated to get exact readings, should have a little sticker saying IRS NOTTINGHAM and actually say calibrated by irs nottingham on the face. Sorry to say but police cars didnt have sunroofs.

Dont think they ever used diesel ones, and cloth trim was optional on elites. does it have sunroof? Is the speedo a calibrated one?

Ok many thanks to all . Ive owned many omegas but always fancied an ex police 3.2, just going to pick it up on sunday, its a very late registered 54 plate which made me buy it, looks very strange with that plate. Got rid of my 06 plate vectra v6 cdti sri to go back to the old trustys.

Hi all. new to all this, just a quick question, struggling to find an insurer to insure a ex police 3.2 manual estate. they say they cannot as they dont exist. I know they never made them for usual public but only for police, Any help would be great as run into a brick wall with this one.
