£100 for a Torx bolt
« on: 13 March 2008, 15:18:05 »

i needed a bolt for the air filter case, went to vx who wanted to sell me the whole lot ,air box,  pipe work the lot. All for a torx bolt , because vx didn't and I quote "didnt think any body would be stupid enough to lose the bolt in the first place" I thought the wife was going to thump him for being a cheeky sod .Why do i stick with vauxhall. ::) ::)

Why not get a second hand airbox from a breaker (2.0)....earlier ones use clips rather than the later naff torx screws.

I needed some new ones for my filter box, my dad works for VX and took one of the bolts in, phoned me later on in the day to say the parts man had never seen one before and didn't think it was a VX part. However, he managed to get hold of a diagram of the parts of the box and got it from that

Cheers,
Iain

Thanks for the offer but got 5 new ones sitting here waiting to go on, just waiting for the rain to go off to get them fitted (and copper greased)
