I was chatting to a friend this afternoon and she told me that a friend of her's, who was fit, healthy and in her early 50's caught it and died.  :(

It's suddenly become a little more real...  :-\

People have to eat , i've been shopping for 6 oldies/at risk , ques have been a PITA
it's good that some supermarkets are lifting most restrictions on quantity
if people can get a weeks worth or more ,then they can limit shopping trips to once a week  :)
i see toilet rolls are finally back on the menu  8)
i see the rozzers have done a U turn on checking trolleys for NON essential goods
i think that's fair ,seen as you can have what you like delivered from ebay, amazon etc
nothing wrong with buying a new TV while your at the supermarket buying bog roll, pasta ,eggs hand sanitizer

and SWMBO served a woman today that had 10 cases of beer, bottles of vodka & a load of party type food ...... some people are too stupid.
We should have/need a tighter lockdown .... too many people out & about for no proper reason.

'Essential shopping' is a load of old bollix, as has been confirmed by lots of sensible people in the media. If a shop is open, as in allowed to remain open, then people are allowed to shop there. Bicycle anyone?

And as for the chief constable of Notts, the prick should resign.

The police asked for greater powers, as the law as it stands is open to interpretation, but Shitty Priti said no.

Here is the law on going out:

From the bbc news site just now:

Downing Street says people can buy whatever they want from shops that remain open amid concerns some police are overstepping lockdown powers.
There have been cases of police warning shoppers against buying "non-essential" items.
No 10 also said people can use their gardens as they wish, after a video showed police confronting a family for letting their children play outside.

she rang the buzzer and a manager appeared
I left, I could have stopped and helped ,but if i get it ,i could kill 6 of my family  ::)

When I was at one of the larger Tesco's near me in the week, we were all queuing up all British like (as in Uncle STEMO's photo) and when I got to the front a bloke came out with a laden trolley and stopped dead with a stricken look on his face.  He turned to the Tesco staff/marshall's and said that he had forgotten something and could he nip back in.  The girls said no he'd have to queue up again and so off he went grumbling to himself and looking a bit pissed off.  ::)

I thought that the Tesco staff have been policing the queues outside and the one way system inside with some relish!  Give a man a clipboard and all that....  But then they were treated like shit by many during the panic buy period, so can't blame them really.  :y
