Track Rod Fitted And Alignment Done
« on: 31 July 2006, 23:14:16 »

Well Fitted the Tracking Rod End Yesterday the old one was totaly Knacked total Wheel Wobble

Went to see Tony at STS Watford for the Tracking Which was a nice surprise to find they are one road away from where i live in Watford lol now that never normal happens.

Nice Bloke Tony had a good old chat to him, About the Forum, LPG which her seem very intrested in once i told him the price per Litre.

He showed me some tires that had not had their Camber set right Ouch worn to the Wire, He pointed out some bits under the car when it was up on the ramps to keep an eye on like the rear track rods and where to keep them oiled and greased.

So went out tonight to give her a blast on the M1 whilst it was quiet most if not all the vibration has gone think there migh be something else that needs a slight tweek ill have a look in time but WOW i am alot happier with her. Floored her for a bit and Cough Cough well lets say she got to 50MPH over 70 and that was on LPG.

So All In All alot happier but will be 100% happy when i find out what the slight vibration is from May be i am wanting to much she is Smooth as at 70Mph

Thanks
Craig

Glad you got it all sorted.

And you reminded me that I should go and see Tony for the free 2000 miles check...

I can thoroughly recommend Tony at STS Watford - he truely understands the geometry of this cars and their interactions.

My car (which I thought handled reasonably well) was transformed, and my tyre wear is now so much better...

Well I can tell you I was surprised but to be truthfull i have not noticed any difference really on LPG to Petrol.

What is the top speed on a 2.0L ?

I can get over 120 on my old Volvo 480 that is a fast little car.
