Climate Panel

Can you replace the individual buttons on the panel and is there a way of checking if the sampling fan has stopped working? Thanks.

Guessing you mean FaceLift if its your 2.6, if so, do you mean Buttons or switches?, if latter the switches are PCB mounted on the Panel.

As for the Fan, work out with +- feeds the Fan motor, isolate it, and stuff 12v on it to see if its working.

Small vent on front of CC panel. Place a tissue paper/fag paper over it to see if fan is working. paper should stick to panel as fan sucks in air from cabin

Once I have tested my panel, if I need a replacement all the ones I've seen have worn buttons, my panel has good buttons.

Rob G, I tried this and the paper didn't want to stick.

I didn't think the facelift panels had a sampling fan, but I might be wrong.

Sorry OP, my mistake. The facelifts have a thermistor which varies the temp.

If these panels don't have a fan, how can the thermistor check the cabin temperature if not drawing air in?

Thanks.
