Omega General Help / Sun visors and interior mirror Face lift
« on: 17 April 2013, 21:47:32 »
How do you get the sunvisors off and the interior mirror on a facelift. I cannot figure out where the wires unplug for the visors.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: CCR 2006 Problem?
« on: 17 April 2013, 19:31:37 »
I do want want the TA messages. But if I am in Leeds I dont want Sheffield or Hull, so I turn them off!

That is when the problem arises. It usually reverts to Radio 2, but sometimes will go to Radio 1 or a non BBC station.

If I listen to the complete message I think it does go back to Radio 2 every time.

Definiletly not pilot error. My old car worked fine and I have had that for 5 years so I know what I am doing. :P :P

I describe it as a misfire, but it might be that fuel is shut off, so not firing at all?

Which bank do we think it is?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCR 2006 Problem?
« on: 16 April 2013, 18:50:02 »
I have a CCR 2006 in my MV6. I use the traffic program.

So a traffic message comes through, and I cancel it with the bottom button left hand side on the steering wheel.
It turns the message off and goes back to the radio.

All fine and dandy.

BUT, it randomly goes to a different station. Is that because I have it on Radio 2 and it is trying to tell me something? :P :P :P

Yes I know it is misfiring but why? It sounds like coil to me, but it has only happened twice and runs as smooth as a smooth thing. It only happens as I explained in a heavy overun situation. It sounds to me like it is overfuelling, the lamda is picking it up and shutting down a bank of injectors.

After the engine has been stopped it runs fine again for hundreds of miles.

What is the 0430 by the way?

I have read that thread before, and I did the cam cover gaskets on my old 2.5!! :( :( :(

There no signs of oil leaks any where. My old 2.5 had the plug holes filled with oil and that didnt misfire. I would be surprised if there is oil there. Low miles and very clean!

Thanks for the quick help

Going cross eyed trying to do this!!

I have 3 error codes.

They seem to be

9 3 9 9

9 4 3 9

9 3 9 2

Does that make any sense??

3.2 MV6 auto, giving it a bit of stick, then back off, feathered throttle around a bend, back on accelerator, and management light comes on with bad misfire!!

Stop, turn engine off and restart after a few minutes and it is running OK.

Any ideas?? ??? ???

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Wiper stalk
« on: 04 April 2013, 19:24:06 »
I am sure I didnt have rain sensing wipers! The guide was excellent. I need to compare the stalks. I think the new stalk has buttons for the computer. The old one I think the computer buttons are on the LH (light) stalk.

I assume that will cause a problem?

I have just got a '52 MV6 3.2. My old car was Y reg 2.5 CDX.

Can I change the variable wiper control from the old to the new?

If so, how do I do that?
