Fog tail light
« on: 08 October 2017, 12:47:41 »

My instrument panel shows a fog light warning when car is put into reverse and my reversing lights and fog lights  are not working. This has started after towing the caravan. My owners manual states The fog lights are deactivated when towing a caravan. Has something failed in this process.

Having done some research it looks as if the problem might be a failed relay that is fitted when the tow bar is fitted to prevent glare when towing. Next is rear panel off in boot and find the relay.Fingers crossed.

Did you find solution? I haven't towed anything in a while but today as normal reversed out of garage and rear fog light indicator went on. However fog light isn't on when it does it. In drive or park everything works normally  ???

My problem turned out to be a broken wire where the cable runs through the boot lid.Constant flexing takes its toll.
