Don't bother asking yourself why you can't drive it, I'll tell you why.......he doesn't want you to know it's a piece of s*it with the handling capabilities of a 1973 3 litre Capri running on 165's in the pi$$ing rain!

Oh dear, somewhat dellusional seller  :o

thats a bit polite...id have said he's a rather tube! ;D
And the rest.......

Anybody who is insured to drive any other car (and that's most of us) will be allowed to legally drive it...so his excuse of you can start it but not drive it because he's not insured is a load of crap.....just ask yourself why you can't drive it before you buy  ;)

Defo a long plenum...which it should indeed be as they were introduced late 97 on the 3.0 engines when they brought in mini facelift models :y

Yep seems most policies do not allow third party cover for other (insured) cars unless you are 25 plus ;) and of course you need a fully comp policy to get that anyway!

Not necessarily. I have just taken TPFT insurance and have the privilege of driving other cars but only if they are insured by the owner.  :y

You cant drive another car under your own insurance unless that car is insured itself, I guess he has lapsed the insurance ;D

My Swiftcover Insurance clearly states that the other Car needs to be Insured.

My MoreThan Insurance says any other Car (not owned blah, blah), when I checked with MoreThan they comfirmed that the other does not need to insured but must be legal, They also pointed out that the Car would not be insured the minite I leave the Car.

I Asked if he had a 5 litre chevy block in it....    he more or less said yes.......
hi all i know is that this was a police ordered one from vauxhall that was never taken by them then was sold to normal person as a special edition
then the last owner sent 3000 pounds to get more power out of it
if the 5 litre conversion looks the same as the normal engine then that's what he most have done
i have driven a lot of big engine cars i mean 2.9 3.0 3.4 and this has made me have a hart attack
thanks

hart attack?   think he means Heart.       as a Hart as in tony hart, is someone famous, who painted and ran "hart beat" who ironicaly did die of a heart attack.
