But neither car used today, working from home. Might have to spark the BBQ up for lunch  8)
As per usual when I work from home, lunch was cancelled. Again.  >:(

Lunchtime = Phone off & laptop shut.  :)

Problem solved!  :y
Just before lunch, panicky phone call from one of the managers working on something I can't mention, "we need an ESX server and a Linux 7 VM in the next 90 minutes"

and in your best Blue Peter voice you said, "Here is one I produced earlier"  ;D

Well, I had a conveniently located unused server sat and cabled in the right location...  ...just the wrong OS on it, law of sod.

Sitting in the warm sun with a bottle of wine beside. ;)

Thinking about, how to lift Ommis rear high enough to remove the rear suspension.

Of course without using a lifting ramp.  :o. I want to do some sandblasting above the suspension.

Rolf

What sand blaster do you have?

Hi Fuse

My sandblaster is ordinary e-bay, but I did modification in jet diameter. The result is good, later I will add changeable jets for different materials. This time I will use quartz sand 0,3 mm 6 mm jet.

Most important seems me constant air and high pressure.

I use this one

I would love a sandblaster. It just what the underside of my old 190 needs. Don't suppose it would go down too well, using one on the drive though  :)
I gave the Omega a good wash a couple of days ago. I noticed this morning that it is covered in a combination of albatross shite, and a fine reddish brown sand.
Oh for the days when I had a garage.  :'(

Judging by the splatter across my drive and car the other day, there is a shitehawk round here who is fond of a good hot curry!  ::)

If you can use soda then doing it outside isn't so much of a problem as it washes away.. you do need a very manly compressor, though.

Broken it. Osr abs sensor again... >:(

On the plus side, I thought the gearbox had shat itself... The sensor failed during an upshot from second to fourth and ended up with an almighty thump in third, I think, and limp mode ::)

My car could do with a good blasting to rid it of the rust and muck before large sections disappear. but I doubt it will get the attention it needs unfortunately.

Hi Neil

Just DO it!  ;)

Today I removed the rear suspension. Never did it before on an Omega. I removed the traverse, differential screws, kardan, brakes (hand and hydraulic) and the shock absorbers. The suspension is free now. :D

Tomorrow I will lift the car, roll beside the suspension and start sandblasting.

Jag electrics were being finicky for last couple of days, silly things like alarm going off, and mirrors not unfolding when unlocking.  Aparently fussy if battery gets low, and has been sat unused for a couple of weeks.

So took it for a spin last night to get some electricity in it - charger wasn't really touching it, I suspect I need to take battery off and charge it that way, but driving it was far more fun.
