Connect an ammeter in series with the battery and measure the 'off' current.

You could buy a cheap multimeter (Maplin as a guess for under a tenner) with milliamps range.

The 'off' drain should be only in the order of 10 to 100 of milliamps - I doubt a clamp meter will be adequate to do that.

One area to check is the boot light - as prblem (IIRC) on Senators

.....
It is only when connected via the controller that the problem arises and causes the relays to click :-/

The PCB does look like it's seen better days.  :(
What looks wrong with those circuit boards?

Are there any link or guides to removing it or even accessing it?  I couldn't even see every well - peering through the back window or sqeezing my head over the rear shelf.   I never did remove it - it seems that a lot of trim, part of rear seats etc have to be removed - I felt it would become a misssion and I'd risk damaging something else.

as i was driving today i said to my friend "i must try fix the blind today" then i pressed the button and it came up ^.^   havent done anything to it, it just worked. With it up i sprayed the runners with silicone lubeication spray. Hopfully it'll be all good now :)
I had this too - asked garage to have a look, after I fiddled with it.  They asked what there was to fix!?  It just started working -then it rattled and stopped that after a while - easy huh!

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Variable wiper stalk upgrade
« on: 11 August 2008, 12:43:08 »
Hi (new poster here)  I added an alternative relay (in the position of the standard wiper relay, under the bonnet) that allows variable intermittant wipe by storing the time interval between operating the wipers.  IIRC the relay was from Volkswagen - I did find it a little difficult to source.

This was an easy (10mins to fit) and fairly cheap, about £12 for the relay.

I believe a member ordered an 85AH battery for his 3.2 not long ago and when it turned up it was way too big to fit, so I believe that listing may be in error.

If the battery were the problem the charging voltage would be OK. I'm still leaning towards weak charging, especially if the battery will still happily start the car once charged.

Kevin

I ordered a batt for my 3.2 Elite trough Trade Club and found it physically too big to fit.

Omega General Help / Re: LPG conversions - an OOF deals
« on: 19 May 2009, 12:21:28 »
I've only seen a couple of VXR8s - one of those was a mate's.  So the chance of finding one with an LPG conversion is remote  :(

I know of two converted Monaros through the HSV forum - so will seek further info.  I don't think there is a hurry though, due to the warrentee.

I'll await the pm and persue that route as well.

Thanks for all you help  :)

Omega General Help / Re: LPG conversions - any OOF deals
« on: 19 May 2009, 09:58:00 »
I can't see myself doing a 'DIY' install; no time, no inclinations and probably lack of skill to do it in a reasonable time.

I'm presently getting through about £100/week on petrol just commuting and some social driving.  So I guess the time to recuperate the outlay will be just under two years.

It is looking like I'll have to wait a couple of years before I can have the conversion done - I am not willing to invalidate the warrentee.

Omega General Help / Re: LPG conversions: how contact Teilo
« on: 18 May 2009, 20:37:05 »
How can Teilo be contacted?

I've searched under members names and across the forums; I can find reference to them but no method contact.

I guess I'm not in a hurry, if my warentee is invalidated - but I like ot get thiese things organised and potentially in place  :)

Teilo - please contact me.

Omega General Help / LPG conversions - an OOF deals
« on: 14 May 2009, 12:44:40 »
I've recently sold my Omega Elite 3.2 V6 (it was advertised on here) and I've bought a VXR8 - as a result I am using lots of fuel  :(   It was suggested to me that there may be LPG converters who offer a competitive cost to OOF members (he mentiontioned Tinley ?)  Are there any?

I would like to hear.

Also, how would that affect Vauxhall network Q warrentee?  And Esure insurance?

Thanks for your help, Steve

Navteq. If you use a copied CD in the Nav drive it will trash the laser unit.

Try eBay.de for a genuine CD.
I never had trouble with mine over 5 years.
