Are you sure its the transmission, also check oil pressure switch, the small oil seal goes causing oil to leak down the switch and then sprayed back when driving.
)only problem with it is the Drivers seat height adjuster dont work but it does on the passenger side, surly these would be fused together but they arnt because the other works, any tips guys?
I know about the radio code but I thought it had to be on before you could enter it?
Prior to changing the battery, I had a few successful jump starts, but it finally packed up after a failed attemp. The leads got a bit hot so I didn't want to risk it. Could this have done any damage?
Thanks, that bit spins. It's not so much as it not working - it just seems inconsistent, sometimes too hot sometimes too cold (I am male by the way!). Also possibly odd with left & right settings on as seperate. I wondered if there was a self-test proceedure, like the pedal test, to flag up if, say, it's management bit was faulty (no flashing spanner on start up). Would plug in diagnostics at garage tell?
There seems to be a few issues re: heating on the forum at the mo.

I use gliptone, seems to do a good job.Me too - however, my cream leather was clean when I bought the car and has remained clean and fed for the last 6 years.
The cylinders are cooled by liquid. Getting air to their vicinity will do nothing at all!Spot on - specific heat of air is so much less than that of water. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specific_heat_capacity) the table about half way down the entry shows the huge differnce.
