Is an estate fuel tank bigger than a saloon one? Because 400 miles isn't difficult to acheive in a 3.0l auto estate.......
70 litres iirc vs 65... DBW cars are a bit heavier on fuel, but I regularly saw 360-420 out of my plod estate... Worst was about 280, and best was 480.

Yes, we have some pretty good apps on the phone.  We're in that huge void of where there is minimal LPG without significant detours :(

Stick a manual box in TBE... It will take her much nearer a single tank a week than two...  :y
She already knows how awful the Omega manual box is.  You don't have an exec saloon and put a manual in it. Especially not a manual box designed by a Victorian railway maker.

The 3.2 isn't as economical as the 3.0 by some margin.  And the M40 isn't the most economic motorway, being a fairly quick one as the do-gooders have yet to succeed...

And that completely highlights the situation.  And that's before you remove the BPs that no longer sell the stuff (because that particular site is utter shite).

We live in Brackley, and the nearest is Towcester - 20 mile round trip in exactly the opposite direction.  And its not like its that cheap either (69.9p as of last week).

My LPG'ed 3.2 Manual, which is also Remapped will do 26 MPG on LPG in normal running around mode, that equivalent to doing 59 MPG on Petrol if you do a £ for £ comparison.

Still too much these days for though, so the 1.2 LPG Corsa, which returns me around 37 to 40 MPG on Gas plodding around in and out of London takes the embarrassing note out of it, £ for £ thats about 90 MPG on Petrol costs, so they can stick their proposed Electric Cars right up their .....

Totally agree with that, having driven just about every Omega flavor under the Sun, including the not so economical 2.5TD Manual, if I was to do all over again, which I wont, it would be an early low mileage 3.0 MV6 or Plod Manual, Remapped / Chipped with a decent LPG System attached for economy, plus more grunt up at the top end over a 3.2
