Right, where shall we start?  ;D

Coolant is low, possibly due to thermostat change?

Looks like OSF Wing has had paint, judging by the machine polish compound left behind (engine bay pic).

What?  It wouldn't be OOF if we didn't notice the little things!  ::)

As suspected... Below copied from Krabi_ones post history...

No mention of gearbox or suspension problems in advert iirc, so as ever, Caveat Emptor.

That's what i thought , everyone seams replaced box in the end with that code.
The i found one for £80 + £90 postage (northern irleand) is that fair price ?

but first i think i will change the oil, check if there is anything wrong and use that transmision fix, there is lots of positive comments about that product.
well I have as well p0420 few times now about catalytic converter - the next thing to do :( need check suspension because is not right , puling to the one side or another and i saw in paperwork that there is very small leak from drive shaft. apart from this everything works ok :) ... and there is vey small amout of rust , so rust wise is very good.. :)

Omega General Help / Gearbox P0730 :( problems never ends
« on: 22 April 2015, 07:11:45 »
Hi everyone, I got another problem...
on Sunday drive to the sea side i had / feels like gearbox slip/ and code p0730 ... after stopping the car and resetting code everything totally normal..
but (checked everyone who got the code and lots of people replaced the gearbox ) so Im looking for new gearbox , just in case.
Is my gearbox AR35 ? what else should i look for?

what do you think about http://lucasoil.com/products/transmission-products/lucas-transmission-fix should I just try it and replace the oil in my gearbox for now ? (order new one anyway)
what exactly do I need to change the fluid in my gearbox ? apart from oil (dextron III ?)

got pew problems with the car :( but still think its so great :)

Omega General Help / Oil leak on Crankshaft Pulley :(
« on: 18 April 2015, 22:06:00 »
Hi guys , my another problem with the car .. oil leak
from crankshaft pulley...
the only thing what do I need to order to have everything ready to replace it ?

I just found one of old post on old website

The oil pump is on the front face of the block on the V6, the crankshaft oil seal presses into it and the lower cambelt idler is bolted to it.

To change the seal you have to remove the cambelt so need a locking & timing kit. You then st the crank at 60 deg. before tdc (to protect the valves) and remove the cambelt crank sprocket by undoing the centre bolt but to do this you must use a long bar bolted to the sprocket to stop the engine turning, do not try any other method or you will shear the keyway inside of the sprocket. You will need a breaker bar plus extension pipe on the bolt plus about a metre bar bolted to the sprocket. You have to be careful to stop the crank turning or you will be replacing bent valves as well.
Once the sprocket is off the seal levers out easily, then pull off the spacer and turn it around so the new seal has fresh metal to run on and press in the new seal. You should use a new sprocket bolt as it is a stretch bolt. Tightening torque is something like 250nm + 60 deg.
Then replace the cambelt etc.

or somebody can recommend any place around norfolk/suffolk where i can do it,
still is the option do it by self.... hmm
