Which bit is buggered, the display or radio ?

Any particular reason why they should be failing, is it an age thing.

You did originally pair the CID for me..

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC 2013 gone into 'Radio safe'
« on: 02 October 2013, 16:04:51 »
Hi Guys

My 2013 has recently started displaying 'Radio Safe' (with a beep) when in Sat Nav mode and Tuner mode. I have a CID.
The Satnav still works, its a pain to program as the radio safe comes up every 6 seconds.

When in the main screen its all ok. The steering wheels controls dont work either..

I searched the forum and found this thread
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=89325.0
Which appears to be exactly the same as I'm having..

Was the reason ever resolved, and can it be fixed, does it require a 'chat' with a Tech 2 ?

I have fitted the mv6 seat so I can repair the Elite seat later.

Fault is exactly as described. Seat upside down, follow the heated seat loom from the back until it disapears under the side frame next to another loom that also leads to the same place into the heated seat control unit.

The conduit had been cut through along with the insulation to reveal bare copper touching the side frame. The bit if tape vx fitted to cover the edge had unfolded itself out flat to leave the metal bare, which then cut through the wire when the seat is occupied.

I have to say, I find it disgracefull a fault like this can cause the engine, and hence pas and brake assistance to cut out.

During my original fault finding I was surprised that fuse 15 supplied so many different things, when I think some of them (especially the heated seats) should be on there own fuse..

Glad you are ok now though..... :y :y

I had mine out in my early teens, the glove and lube were certainly a surprise to this innocent young teenager...

Nice pad you have there, Weds. :y

Incidentally, how much does a 1990 928 set you back these days? :y.

Not my place, unfortunately...

About £7.7K

In 1990 they were about 60K  :)

The only porsche worth having.  :y :y

Not bad for 23 years old...

Been sorting out a few electrical problems, battery changed because it kept going flat, and spent most of the day sorting out the interior lights, wouldn't switch from the doors opening, then found they had been connected up wrongly (not by me) when work had been done on the speaker wiring in the doors, then the alarm had a hissy fit and wouldn't open or lock the doors...

Is there a how-to for replacement of rear wheel bearings?  If so, I can't find it!  ::)

If not, can someone give me an indication as to where the best place is to get new bearings (ie. GM or pattern), how much I should be paying for them, and also whether this is a job best left to a garage or not?

TIA   :y

And saloon and Estate are different sizes...
