HBV hose
« on: 16 November 2006, 19:05:00 »

Can someone confirm that the single hose on the right hand side( looking towards engine from front of car) of the HBV goes to the water bridge just below it. Need to get one in the morning so could do with just confirming this before i do and then can someone remind me not to leave a halogen lamp resting on the servo hose whilst looking at the HBV area as it makes a lovely hissing sound as it melts through the hose :'( Now need one of these aswell. What a muppet :-[

can't remember exactly how hbv sits and where pipes come out, but certainly one of the pipes coming out right goes to inlet bridge, alongside temp sensor.  Hope that helps.

Yep, thet sounds about right, got a split hose right by the bridge, cant trace it by eye because of all the crap in the way but by feel it seems to run to the HBV. Cheers Jamie and no p*ss take about burning my servo hose , or is that yet to come ::)

Usually split right by coolant bridge, fairly common, esp if its had an oil cooler go at some point.

I'd better not take piss, in case Tunnie sees the post - coz then he would have to post the story about my leadlamp, my temper, and him getting showered in glass......
