Polished the opaque headlamps on the 3.2 prior to MOT next week, came up nicely in about an hour and a half. :y
Time well spent IMHO :y

After 90minutes of polishing, I would expect to be able to see them from here ;)

After convincing myself that the V70 was going to fail it's MOT horribly and cost me mucho ££££, she sailed through with a couple of minor advisories.  :y

The plastic / cardboard Fr***h hatchback is due next week and the Omega a couple of weeks later. Could be some expense on the horizon.
Omega needs front discs / pads, which will be done before the test. Hoping it will be ok otherwise.
The Fr***h thing - god knows. It creaks rattles and knocks all the time, but I suspect its been like that from new.

I've managed to pause the search for a replacement car for Mrs TB, as whilst she isn't commuting, the LPG availability problem isn't a problem :). TBE gets a reprieve :)

Still not got a scooby what to get her though.  What's Mrs DTM getting? And I thought her journeys were all fairly short?

What do you get from a full tank of lpg around town? I’m around 140 Miles to a tank full (43 litres all I can squeeze in ) 3.2 Mv6 estate auto.

You want to convert that to a manual V8 with those figures :D

I don't know.... lpg is 65p/litre around here, so 43 litres is £27.95. 140 miles at £27.95 is  19.96 pence / mile

When I ran the Omega the equivalent petrol cost was around 29 pence /mile around town ..  so looks like he's still "saving" around 10 pence a mile ....

If you're getting around 20pence /mile from the barge on petrol then it's doing around 30 mpg !! No Omega v6 I know does that around town !! Lucky to ever get even low 20s ... maybe 25-28 mpg on a run
