Cam cover gaskets.
« on: 04 February 2019, 14:13:07 »

My nearside cam cover is leaking a little oil onto the exhaust manifold (I think), so please may I ask what the current thinking is regarding sources of new gaskets, please?

Payen have been used to good effect iirc... Readily available  ;)

Just double check that the cover itself is still true as they are prone to warping if overtightened ;)

What he said - warping can be due to age and cycles regardless

I used the Victor Reinz ones supplied by All German Parts  . . .been on about 9 months now . .

no issues at all & would have now doubt recommending these   :y :y :y. .

As I recall about £30  for both banks  . . which is about a 1/3 of GM ones  ::)
