X plate 2.5TD vs 51 plate 2.2 petrol
« on: 11 June 2009, 10:32:04 »

Got my eye on a 2.5TD on an X plate..........similar mileage to mine (113,000) same colour, some history, a saloon, a CDX (with Elite alloys) only real difference is it's not got leather and it's a 2.5 diesal engine.

Dealer wants 2k for it which inludes a 2 year parts and labour warranty and a new mot.

I fancy something with a bit more power for towing the pikey wagon............comments welcome, TIA

Apart from a quick go of Stu's 2.5 TD Omega at Rufforth I've no specific experience of either, but if you're towing I'd go with cubic capacity & get the diseasal

£2k does seem a bit on the high side. Have a look through Autotrader for comparable cars/prices.  ;)

Get a 3.0litre auto. This will give you a little more power-although a few less mpg
