Maxiscan /BMW airbag light
« on: 20 September 2019, 13:29:42 »

If this question does not get "nuked " as I'm not sure of the rules about discussing these type of tools  Will a Maxiscan reader put out the airbag light on a '05 318i BMW ?

Strange one this  . . .as its intermittant  . . .  :-\ :-\ :-\

Any advice greatly appriciated  . . .or apologies if forum rules have been broken here  :-[ :-[

most bmw airbag faults are to do with the passenger seat occupancy sensor

Not as yet Dave  . . but could be the issue as it has only started since i moved the seat back to take it for MOT.    Failed on that light being on. & 2 drop links.

This is daughters car  . . .she has also said the light has come on briefly before seemingly when her partner shoves the seat back to drive   ::) ::)

Thinking I'll be looking there & the pass seat occupancy issue first before buying another reader.   Although I could do with one .

What would be the recommended cheapish reader gadget from you guys on here ?

Off to Espania for a week tomorrow  . . .so daughter has been given custody of the Omega to use ::)

I believe that is not a cloned product, so there is no issue discussing its usage :)

Most maxiscans only do engine management
