Irmscher 3.2 on the Bay
« on: 08 October 2015, 13:25:28 »

Surprised that no one has mentioned this one  :-\    252115559890

Would probably cost close to the asking price to source the Irmy bits alone  :-\  + another 10mph as it's go fast Black  ;D
 :-\
Owner has only had it for a month though  :-\ . .     but could be OK I suppose :-\

Anyone thinking of taking a look ?

It is mine Al. To be honest though, I don't think I'll be letting this go. I changed my mind. I doubt another one like this will turn up.

So an offer of, say, three grand wouldn't buy it then?

Nice looking car, like you say, it's unlikely that another one will become available in the near future and if it were, then you would have to pay something like your asking price or perhaps a bit more due to the scarcity of this marque. Keep it for as long as possible and enjoy the fact that there will never be an identical car alongside you or up your chuff at the traffic lights, sort of an exclusive club in a way :y

Probably. But who would pay £3k for something the price of a Mars bar?

terbert, not sure I can make it. The missus has made  made some plans for herself and wants me to babysit so we'll see.

Just a general question out of interest[sorry if I'm hijacking thread]but what is it about the 3.2 that makes people seek them out?As I understand it apart from usual V6 maladies they also have the extra of the pre-cat sensors needing moving.Figures I've seen suggest they're not hugely more powerful or greatly faster than the 3.0l and yet apparently are far worse on fuel.So why the 3.2,what's to recommend it?

More torque, much easier engine to work on by virtue of not have utterly pointless emission plumbing all over the place, they're newer... need I go on ::)

Personally I think the 3.0's are better engines.  :y

As you say sensors are a faff, normal V6 issues. Is it easier to work on? Not vastly so to the 3.0, guess it looks a bit neater.

Fuel use is seriously shite. Yes it's a 3.2, but compared to the 3.0 it's just 200cc more but the difference in fuel use is far bigger.

I don't think it's any faster either, Tunnie family had 3.0 Estate for years. Is my 3.2 faster? Humm don't think so, about same really. Also the 3.2 delivers a lot of is power low down, one of the car parks i use for work, exits onto a 40mph road. 9/10 I can light up the rears just pulling away, without even trying. Just light throttle use.

Before anyone says tyres, 3.0 would run on budget tyres, never had that issue.

Only thing I like compared to the 3.0 is its DBW, so it has a lighter throttle pedal.   :)

Allowing for the price of Euro against the British pound, over here that price would be classed as too high, especially with that mileage/km.
And also with the dent. This is only my opinion, you understand :y
However, with the Irmscher bits, that could make a difference :y

My 2008 Zafira Elite is almost worth as much as a 14 year old Omega (albeit with Irmscher kit). Hopefully in a few years this kit will be worth a small fortune. Worth holding on to find out I think  ;D

Can I change the listing for this car and put the Zafira up instead? Had a look on ebay and all I could find was this:

You can only post one ad for an item, service, job, housing unit, or pet, in the area that the item, service, job, housing unit, or pet is actually located. Please do not enter different zip codes or use multiple accounts to post ads for the same item, service, job, housing unit, or pet in multiple areas. Your ads will be removed. Our site will determine where your ad should be placed based on your zip code. Your ad could be placed in up to four different cities depending on your location.
