Belt kit

is this a good price for a timing belt kit and is it the right one for me 3.0 :-\

have a look on vauxhallworldparts. they have some good prices on gates kits sometimes.
or buypartsby for contitech kits.

maybe cheaper than 113.

BPB is £81.02 ..for Contitech

Cant get a price off vauxhallworldparts , they dont recognise my car reg  ::) Still not a bad price from BPB . Is contitech make ok  :-\

Cant remember what make Webbythebear put on his that the tensioner let go  :(

should be ok then. backing plates vary on engine code. can use old if new is different, fit new tensioners to old plate.

Ah right ok , going to attempt to fit it in the new year .. will be my first V6  :-[ First timing belt ever , how hard can it be  :-X

not a bad job, take your time, follow the dvd if you have it?. dont forget you must use the locking kit.

Ok mate will do , going to be in bits for a while . Doing the stat change while in there , rip the condenser out and bypass the compressor + anything else thats falling off  ;)

To be fair Steve, i believe that was an ''installer error'' when that happened. It's obviously been a while now but I think that was down to me adjusting the lower idler slightly to bring bank 2 in to time and then not re-tensioning the tensioner. if that makes sense.

All water under the bridge (under the A43 or wherever we broke down  ;D ;D)

That was from BPB iirc.

I have Contiech from BPB/SAF on both mine.

If they send the wrong one, just swap the backplate over (but use the new pulleys/bearings.

Webby , has the belt noise disappeared since you fitted the new kit  :-\ And yes dont want to be diverting traffic again on an exit ramp around an Omega  ;D Burgers were nice though  :)
