I started driving in 78. This is probably the hottest summer (so far) weve had since then.
In those days scraping ice off the windscreen wasn't much of a problem. I was young, so didn't really notice. Now, all my joints freeze up and don't thaw until around June.  ;D

It must have been fickin orrible being sweaty in summer and constantly having to wipe the windscreen in winter, yet I don't remember it being much of a problem.  :-\

Found this evening I've got something wrong[a major talent of mine]with the oil cooler change as when I began refilling coolant system a steady trickle of water was hitting the floor on n/s so this weekend it's all going to have to come apart again to find out where from >:(

True. I don't think I even knew what A/C was in 1978.  ::)
Every two months a dozen or so former work mates (we are all retired now) meet up for a get together lunch. I usually get picked up by a mate in his CRV. This time, as he was on hollibobs another mate did the run in his 3 sereis BMW. His first words were "hope you don,t mind but the air con doesn,t work.  :o, it was nearly 30c on Friday. Wished that i had done the driving that day, it was bloody uncomfortable even with the windows down. He,s had the car for over six years and just says he doesn,t need it. I reckon he,s a flamin lizard. :D

Yup - 2012, non-mhd, has PAS, flappy paddles on the steering wheel should one feel so inclined, aircon, nav etc, and relatively low mileage with good history.

Knowing my luck it'll lunch itself within a week ;) ;D
