Why are you still using locking nuts?
Pointless things just make a job harder.
So harder to steal !!!!
Completely disagree. They are soft as cheese, garages spin them up to 1,000,000 Nm of torque and are an utter pain to remove.
harder for scum to steal then
so don't let the garage do work if they don't know how to do up a nut , or find a garage that torque to sensible amount and double check they have and given you the locking adapter back .
No one wants Vauxhall alloys, especially 16/17's the world is now 18/19/20 for popular nickable ones.
16 and 17 inch tyres fit many cars ,even new ones ,and there is a massive market for part worn ,not everyone buys brand new tyres ,alloys sell on ebay etc even 16" (because they fit astra, zafira, etc etc and even have scrap value if mullered being removed during theft.
maybe you have a better class of thieving scumbag near you
, but ,in many parts of the country , a set of 16" alloys with good tyres are worth robbing
won't slow anyone down who really wants them.
won't stop a determined thief, but
WILL slow one down, deter them
