try flushing the heater matrix first then chaeck all vac pipes ! wont be head gasket very rare on v6s ! battery in keyfob is a cr2032 iirc get one and switch ign on then press buttons on fob to resync ! seat heater is common fault bud  not easy to fix  :(

Hi Zee, firstly please stop shouting! It's to early in the morning for all that, ta :y

Very unlikely to be the head gasket as they rearely go unless driven for a while while over heating. More likely to be your HBV or a vacuum fault. If your guy has changed them then a few reverse flushes, both ways through the matrix would help. Easily done from the engine bay with a hose, no need to remove much. Your key does have a battery in it for the RCL, not sure how to change them though as mine is the earlier seperate fob. Heated seat failure is normally the element in the seat itself. If cloth seats you can get replacements but leather seats have them stitched to the leather, although it is possible to fit the cloth seat type underneath the broken on in your leather seat. HTH :y

check vac pipes
ive sorted mine by putting the vac pipes the right way round
its a bit of a pain but pretty straight forward once you get your hands dirty

Right - first test: run the car up to hot temp, turn the heating on.  then remove the trim above the pedals and locate the alu heater matrix pipes coming through the bulkhead to the left of the pedal area.  If they are both too hot to handle then you are hetting heat to the matrix.  This means your problems lie in the air dist unit.  If you are not getting heat to the matrix then disconnect the vac to the HBV.  If you are still not getting heat to the matrix then chances are the HBV is fitted wrongly.

update your profile so we can see where you are.  maybe someone close by can take a look.  I doubt it is the HG.  Typical of a garage to suggest the most expensive thing if thay cannot find the problem.

dont quite know yet the best way im waiting for a answer on this also will let you know tho, its looking like you remove the two hoses going through the bulk head and hose water through each inlet

yep - that's basically it.  disconnect the hoses at the bulkhead and get a gaqrden hose onto one.

ZEE- the key to this is to logically identify your problem and then fix it.  It looks like your garage has tried the change this part and see if it works approach, which is much more costly.  Before flushing your heater matrix, determine if it is the problem.  If the matrix is heating up and your problem is the air dist unit, you will waste time/money/effort and get more fed up.
