Crazy EML?
« on: 15 May 2009, 10:17:15 »

Hi Guys n Gals

Just a quickie:

Yesterday I had the EML turn on 2 times for about 5 - 6 seconds each.  :-/ Each time it came on, it was when i was slowing down and it blinked a few times and went off after then.  :-?

Now it's no longer on when i drive the car. Mind you, the bulb's still ok as when i switch on the car, it turns on and then off as normal.  :y

Is this anything to worry about??  :-/

Thanks

Do you think the paperclip test would reveal things Iain? I aint have access to a code reader here in Bahrain easily. I know the stealers have them here, but I doubt they give me the right fault. They probably will rip off my cash like they did when I purchased parts for my major service a month ago! Darn!

Okay, just did the paperclip test. Below are the results of the test:

31 - which i understand is normal to get when doing the paperclip test with the engine turned off

137 - ECU box temperature high.  :( :-/

Why in the world would the ECU box temperature become high??? Anyone could shed any ideas about this one??  :-/

PS: where would the ECU box happen to be in a facelift 3.0 V6 miggy?

Thanks
