Just got home. Pulled the handbrake up, heard a clunk and then it seemed to lose all resistance. Probably a broken cable, r something pulled through the backplate.
Oh well another job to do for the MOT.  ::)

The cable outer ends pull through the 'clamp' they sit in because both bits are rusty. Adjusting the handbrake so it actually does something exacerbates this.

A new cable isn't expensive, nor is it hard to fit if you're not worried about putting the exhaust heat shields back.

Totally new infotainment system (PIVI as launched on Defender - much slicker and faster) with full system Software over the air, new amps, speakers, telematics, ADAS (surround cams are standard) etc.

Some software tweaks to the drive train to increase range a little, better charging options (now supports three phase type 2 7kW charger support added)

A 'work perk' with salary sacrifice making it very affordable on a three year deal  :y

Nice! I've not heard anything about the new infotainment on the defender, but given the positive news the last installation got, it should be excellent.

3 phase charging is good, but what's the need if it's limited to 7kw? Or is it primarily aimed at other markets that runnkess than 230v?

Up to 7kw is single phase, 22kw+ on three phase which is much sought after in Europe and quite common as a public faster charger solution  :y

Ahh I see now. Yes, seen plenty of those on the continent.

Also I'd wished for it a few times on the e-golf when using the w@nky ecotricity chargers as the type 2 was very often the only port working  ::)

Sold the 3.2 Elite, very sad to see it go :(, but due to circumstances it was just not getting used. New owner is a forum member, and I am sure will enjoy it.

Got the level correct in the autobox on the project after replacing one of the cooler pipes.  :)

Washed Mrs VXL's Astra so that should pass the MOT now  ;D
