Sun Roof
« on: 02 August 2018, 06:38:33 »

I have an 03 2.6 auto with sun roof.  The black paint on the outside trim is flaking off and beginning to look a little unsightly, can anyone suggest the type of paint I need and method to bring it back to new looking please?

if you put "sunroof paint"   into the search facility on here you will get several threads from Oof members who have done this repair along with their advice  :y

rust coverter for alloy and metal mat black, sand it down around the bad areas and then use the rust kill or rust converter. with a small paint brush. dont matter if it gets on the seal or the glass.  leave the rust kil/converter to dry around 15-20 min and then you can paint. make sure its has on rust kill/ coverter that its no wash off. as some you have to wash off after a time. then wait till its dry and sand down. can use a primer but with none wash rust kill it has its own primer uselly turns black.
