Title: Advance notice of High Wycombe
Post by: Terbs on 18 November 2014, 20:52:27
Hi all...
I know this is well early, but it helps people to sort their calendars, and allows others to plan their meets.
I have booked the Community Centre at Hazlemere for our usual May Day meet, which will be Monday, May 4th 2015.
Spread the word...lets beat our 23 record........and a massive combined prayer may convince him up there to give us good weather.
May be able to convince Essex Big Al (if he attends) up onto the main hall stage for a couple of gigs. I can do coloured lights, Al, and a turning glitter ball  ;D
Premier Inns 3miles away max. Just off M40/A40 roundabout. And in the past we have had a pre-meet meal on the Sunday night in the restaurant at the Premier Inn.
Good access from everywhere.

All being well I should be coming down for this. :y,,,,,I don't suppose anyone coming to this has got a 2.5TD injector (the one with the wires on) that they want to part with, I have still got my no accelerator briefly on start up when hot problem, Just thought it might be worth trying replacing it just in case mine is going goo-gar when hot.

Terbs,  I know that Alarming Mark is not able to go to this meet, spoke with him last week . Also seem to remember that Red Baron cannot make it either.  Mark from London ?  . . . is that not Matthew from london  . . I think on the thread earlier he had booked in for a night stay on the Sunday .

But guess they will all confirm one way or the other .  So at the moment it looks like Christine & yourself , Ken & Carole, possibly Matt &  Sally & me  :y

Right, fellas....we need a good turnout on Monday. Swmbo has just come back loaded to the gunwales with food.
It looks like the menu will consist of... sausage and/or bacon rolls, ham rolls, chicken or salad rolls, mini pork pies, crisps little sausage rolls, French bread, pickles, tomatoes, onions (may get fried) and a thumping big carrot for Jamie ;D Tea, coffee, alcoholic and soft drinks.
As in the past, we won't charge (except for the bar), but would be grateful for any donation to cover some of our outlay. Also Mrs Nitro commands high wages for helping Christine in the kitchen ;D :y

And very good you are at it too  :y  ........................ the socialising I meant, not the videos.  ;D ;)  I'm almost deaf so I either don't hear when people are talking to me or I mis-hear what they have said to me. This means that I come across as either ignorant if I don't hear or wierd if I mis-hear what has been said and give the wrong answer.  ::) ;D  Because of this I'm socially inept, as any background noise and I've had it. I'll try my best to not come across as ignorant or wierd.  ;D

I was going to offer to help with the cam belt but I see you've already had that done.  :y   (Note to self, put TB's tools in the car to return to him if he is attending).

Many thanks to Chrisgixer for the fitting of the polly 'donut' bushes.  Not pressed it due to have two kiddies and a bootbful of junk but could definitely feel it was taughter around the High Wycombe islands (I took the longest route around them to check!)

Thanks to Lazydocker for selling me his redundant Telematics. Typically I've got mine working again but one can never have too many spares when it comes to these things!!

Agreed, if it were still leaking, that would have been apparent yesterday as it was running for a good while without issue, and although it got up to temperature, driving it would have added load which would raise the temp up.

I would give it a while yet... :y

Not sure what's going on there then, as it was oil tight yesterday :-\
