Mental health question.
« on: 17 January 2020, 14:22:11 »

First up, not me and not someone in immediate danger... Apparently happened a few days ago.

Is taking 6 paracetamol something to worry about or simply attention seeking?

6 isn't gonna do a lot of harm, assuming 500mg tablets. The maximum recommended daily dose is 4000mg.

IIRC most over the counter drugs have a 50% margin ,so the average size person could take double the dose and still be in acceptable levels.
as for the mental health of the person, who knows
if they have problems in their life ,or they are depressed (which isn't always obvious, many people suffer in silence) it could be a cry for help.
if it's a friend ,spare some time to talk to them ,check in on them often (even if just by phone or text ) or get someone who's close to them do the same .

Speaking of mental health more people top themselves during the 'happy' Christmas period than any other time of the year.

The way I look at it well all be just 'bones in a box' a few years from now so we may as well enjoy life. :y

Believe it or not my dad had a regular prescription for Eight paracetamols at a time for a pain he gets in his foot. We told him to stop and seek a better solution .

Joking aside, regardless of my concern, my instinct is to stay well away :-\

I have my suspicions wrt my original question and suspect that whomever comes running will end up in a snare... and I don't believe that there is a realistic future going down that road. And I really don't want to be that person when the inevitable happens.
