Elite rear leaveling shocks

GM only. Trade club halfs the price, to around £170 last I heard.

They've gone up since I last bought some.

Not everyones cup of tea, but i binned mine, went for Bilstein b4s with Killen springs.
The ride was transformed... Wouldnt change.

Horses for courses. Self levellers work with any springs, (although sl springs only work with sl shocks) and are very good at load levelling the car. So if you carry loads I. The big boot of the saloon, or even bigger in the estate, then keep the sl shocks.

However as you say, sl shocks are poor at damping, and Billy's do an excellent job with proper springs, there's no comparison really.

I often wondered about fitting air bags in the springs and using the standard sl system and airlines for them, and then remove the relay as required, but then I don't carry loads often enough to warrant the buggering about.
