Just breaking an elite with this in and looking at it does it have sat nav? What kind of money do they bring are they any good? Do they fit in vectra`s?

Remember its not as simple as removing the radio from the car and selling on.  It needs depairing with tech2 first, as does the screen.

If you dont, its simply a doorstop.

If you have removed them without de-pairing, then yes !!  Worthless !!

Depaired? Thats another matter, they can fetch good money

You require a genuine VX Tech2 device, coupled to the original car and a carpass so that they can be depaired/placed into delivery mode, prior to removal.

If already removed from the car, needs to be replaced in the vehicle they came from then depaired, if you follow....

As Dave says, if done properly, worth good coin.  If not, worthless other than limited use for parts....

Depairing is the reverse of entering a security code.

This particular model needs a "code" to be entered (via a Tech2 programmer) so that it is electronically de-programmed from your car. When de-programmed/divorced/depaired it is then in a state often referred to as "delivery mode" which means that it can then be programmed to another car, again by Tech2.

A radio can only be programmed to a new car if depaired first, and it cannot be depaired outside of the original car any other way.

To clarify - if *ALL* the components in the NCDC setup are kept together (NCDC201x, CD Changer, Display, Screen), then you do *NOT* need to depair.

This info is specific to the Omega.

This setup will *NOT* work in the Vectra-C. The screen is very different. The headunit can be used on Vectra-C but will need to be depaired, then repaired to a suitable Vectra-C screen.

interesting, must admit i thought it would be fine if just screen and hu where removed and refitted in another omega. Needs all components as a set then?

But 2013 has changer built in and no phone thing (telematics?) in glove box, so hu and screen is all there is in this case...... just wack it/em in?

For a 2013, the HU (complete with CD Changer - that is part of the security loop) and the screen.  For a 2015, the HU (with CD Changer), screen and telematics.
