French Yellow Jackets
« on: 08 December 2018, 07:54:53 »

Anyone following these protesters?

No leader. They succeeded in gettting Macron to back down over fuel prices but they continue rioting and protesting. Will Macron resign?

Students now protesting.

Macron - for the rich?

It would be easy to dismiss the protests as “The French”.  Could the same happen in Britain post 29 March? Could the French yellow jackets get a leader and become a political party?

I could see such a party gaining support from the disaffected, whether or not they would become a prty to be reckoned with is another matter. But would they want to form a political party or would this then make them too "establishment"?

As per usual where there is a chance to create chaos, Russian active measures are stirring things up. >:( >:( >:( Where I'm being very vocal on Twitter at the moment over #Brexit I'm also getting a lot of Russian Bots following me on there. :(

True, but that wasn't really political, just the hot weather and too much grog went to their heads!  ;D

Sod all to do with Russia. People are just fed up with the globalists (May, Macron and Merkel) ignoring them. They have seen how Trump is draining the US swamp and would like to see the same in Europe. So would I.  :y

I find what is happening in France very interesting and with every new report there is confirmation that various people, of all different shades of the political spectrum, have come together with one clear aim; removing Macron.

This is the way in France, and has clear echoes of what happened in 1789.  Many different groups combining to remove the key authority (the acristocracy) to gain control over their lives and no longer be dictated to by having fair representation in the national decision making process. Some being interviewed are even openly talking about civil war if Macron does not go.

Are we heading that way?  So many of different political colours all fed up with British politics?

Before anyone says no, it can never happen here as we are not like the French, just remember the English Civil War that was fought to give democratic power (well some at least) to the people and take it away from authority (the King). Have our politics got to that stage again where we, the people, want our democracy back, or are we more interested in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!?

We have been close to revolution before on a number of ocassions. However, on those ocassions the UK Parliament have been clever enough to be one step ahead of the game and give the people just enough to stop them rebeling.  Is the current Government, or any ministers, good enough to do this now? ::) ::) ;)

To be honest, I think it all depends on whether the referendum is honoured. If it is not (and that includes any deal by which we would still be effectively governed by the EU) then all bets are off as it would be quite plain that democracy in the UK is a sham. Whether that will result in civil disorder, I wouldn't like to say, though I know people are livid with May and many in the Tory party at the moment. We live in very interesting, but dangerous, times.

Like I stated where chaos can be created RU active measures are there from Ukraine since 2014 to the US elections & illegitimate election of Trump who special council Robert Mueller III is steadily uncovering, to many personal RU troll attacks I've suffered from actively supporting Ukraine against their invasion by Russia, which I'm old enough, ugly enough & know how to use psyops to see off, so don't bother trying to teach me to suck eggs. >:( >:( >:(

Oh, please. Do you think that millions of Americans had their brains rewired by the Russkies to vote for Trump? No. It was the start of the world rejecting globalism and the Deep State. There was no collusion, though your Russophobia seems to make you unable to accept that.

Even the likes of Michael Moore were urging people to vote for Hillary, even though it went against every fibre of common sense.

Fact is, ignoring the way Trump presents himself via social media, he is actually quite switched on... And two years down the line, Middle America is still very much conservative right wing.  ;)

Well they have become the mos successful protesters of modern times in my eye.

Macron has caved in and given , without being asked, thefollowing.

An end to the planned fuel tax rises

7% increase in minimum wage i.e. 100 euros a month more

Planned  tax  increase on low income pensioners dropped

Overtime no longer taxed

Employers to be encouraged to give atax free end of year bonus

Plus some other things like listening to the Provinces!

He is not going to tax the rich more though!

Think what would have been achieved if theyhad rioted, protested more. ;D
