Title: DVLA question...
Post by: 05omegav6 on 19 July 2014, 15:07:40
Does the Department of Very Lazy Apathists still issue tax reminders? Ten days notice is hardly a reminder imho... and still no sign of one :-\

If my car is due another VIC can I retax it without the VIC? Or am I being forced to pay another £45 to tell me the identity of my one former keeper car plus the £160 odd for six months tax :-\

Yep, they still send them.

Now you can just Tax with V5 only at the PO, or am I missing something?

Funny you say that Al, as I received no reminder.  :-\

I did however receive a red one on the 20th of the following month.  :-[ :-[
I taxed it straight away at the post office, the girl looked confused as she had to get last months book of tickets out to tax mine from the day that it expired.  :)

I got mine with 3 weeks to go.
Just tax it on the website.
You will get your disc though within a few days  :y

They have been getting very lax recently over sending out reminders. Mine have all turned up over halfway through the month, normally 2 days after I have applied online for the tax disc

My RFL is due at the end of the month, and the reminder arrived yesterday. There goes another 230 odd quid
