Happy New Year
Though I suspect the majority of 2021 will be similar to 2020, despite what the media imply.
I looked up how many people are classed as vulnerable, care workers or older than me, and its around 25-28m people. Now *IF* the jab rate averages 1m a week as the government promise (remember the 500,000 tests a day back in the summer, that I think they haven't yet achieved), I take it my 1st jab will be sometime from late June to early September... ...and thats completely ignoring the 2nd jabs, which effectively doubles the maths.
And lets face it, I ain't no spring chicken.
I note some scientists are now stating that herd immunity won't kick in until 90% vaccination due to the "new" strain first detected months ago. Which puts it probably into 2022, and thats assuming that further boosters aren't required to keep this at bay.
So I'm at a loss how the media are suggesting that normality will be by the start of Spring.
