My latest Omega.
« on: 03 June 2016, 08:14:47 »

I said I wasn't going to have another one, but then I saw this Rubens red 3.2 for sale and next thing I know I'm driving it home.  ;D

So far Ive changed the cambelt, serviced the engine and swapped the front grill. Still unsure about the grill though. Further work is planned over the summer, if I find the time & energy.
As can be seen in the pics, the rear is sitting high, so a new pair of Sachs springs are on their way, and will hopefully rectify this.

Nice car..I had the same type grille and kept it on the car for a year, never realy thought it suited it so in the end replaced it with the original one which I thought suited the car better with just the chrome effect that set the colour of the car off much better....just a matter of opinion and taste I suppose.. :y :y

Nothing wrong with the FL grille, but when you park it next to a PFL it looks too high and 'big mouthed'... but it was a design decision to bring the flagship of the range in line visually with the Astra, forthcoming Vectra C etc...

Personally think the Irmscher chipcutter (especially on a dark car like yours) helps 'hide' the height of the grille and gives it a decent stance. Also it's a pleasure to see a not star silver FL!

While I was driving it home I was making a "to do list" in my head. Cant help it. I wish I could but I cant. I think it may be an unrecognised addictive illness.  ::) ;D ;D
This is definitely my last one though.  :y

Found it on ebay. It was in London. I wasn't really looking for one , which is probably why I found it.  :)

It does look pretty good considering its done 170k miles. Seems to have been looked after pretty well. Ive noticed a few things such as genuine GM brake pads, as were the old filters when I changed them, which is a good sign.  :)

Looks well, although personally I'm not a fan of the Irmscher grilles,so I'd change that back to the standard one-but that's just me.
