Found a Ex Plod Hidden Gadget, what is it?

Found this stuck behind the Courtesy Light Panel, this is the second one Ive found now from a AR / DPG plod Mig, any ideas what it is? whats it used for or does?, correct answer wins something.!

It's the Sonic 'blaster' which can disable a cars ECU, useful in a chase I believe!  ;)

Someone's cocked up in a big way as they are supposed to be highly classified!!  :)

Hmm, not convinced on that one,  :-\, again a shame as it would have won you a faulty ECU. :y

If it is true and was classified, its not now.  ;)

Youve been using Google Al, did see that one myself, but not convinced its the same unit, having said that being Radio related is on my list, due to the location near the top of the windscreen and being able to cover the inside of the car.  :-\
