Factory fresh GM V6 engine
« on: 01 June 2018, 18:17:14 »

When the GM V6 engines were being assembled in the factory, did they put a spot of black goo in the corners and half moons during assembly, or is it just an OOF recommendation? How long should I wait until starting the engine after fitting cam covers?

Don't know if the black sealant was factory or not,but you can start the engine as soon as you get it all cobbled back together from doing the gaskets.
