Omega General Help / V6 cylinder number confusion

Hi I'm in the process of sorting out a random misfire. I've read on various pages that the 2 4 6 side is the UK drivers side. However when trying to install the new coilpack the plug is different and wont fit.
Can someone clarify the UK 'sides' for me ??

Omega General Help / My Omega has let me down

So I bought a facelift 2.6 estate about 3 months ago so we could fit the tent and all the camping gear into it. It's been totally reliable and I've spent time and money tidying it up. Saturday we loaded it up and started our journey to Cornwall. 25 miles later it starts misfiring. Eml flashes for a short time then stays on. I pull over, turn off - restart but it's still happening. Engine is dry , water temp is fine but the orange eml has stayed on. Limped the car home and left it there. I'll do the pedal test when we get back but are there any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Two climate panel queries

My climate control panel has recently started showing the temp just on the drivers side. Is there something I can do to reset thie panel?
It used to show the temp on both sides.

The second one is - If I set the temp to low, I can control the fan speed. If it's set to 16 or over the fan is very noisy and I cant reduce the speed. Any ideas?

Omega General Help / Shock absorbers - std replacement?

Hi what shocks / dampers are recommended as an oe replacement? The car feels quite floaty and leans a lot in corners.
I don't want anything 'sporty' just the regular 2.6 cdx estate stuff.

Going for an alignment tomorrow as theres some funny tyre wear. The glovebox catch is broken / missing and the stereo is the wrong colour!
Drives really nicely though. It's the first car I've owned for a long time that rides smoothly so I'm enjoying just wafting about in it!

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Total newbie question about yellow dash light....

Hi guys, after test driving my new 2.6 Omega I noticed a yellow warning light on the dash.. Under the rev counter there are ten warning lights - it's the top right hand one which looks like a gear cog. I've googled it but can't find a description of each light.
Hopefully it's nothing major as the car drove without fault. I turned the engine off and restarted it and the light did not come back on.
 I've asked the garage to check it out before I pick the car up next week.

I've been looking for one for a while and this was only a few miles away. I need to get an alignment done as there seems to be wear to the edges of the front tyres.
It drives very well and I'm looking forward to picking it up next Thursday. . Needs a good clean inside and out which is fine as I'm quite into detailing!
