General Car Chat / RS2000 4x4, I'm gutted
« on: 02 March 2015, 23:05:04 »
Gutted, I used to work with a guy who had a mint early RS2000 Escort 4x4 which I wanted really badly, he's just got in touch to say he's decided to sell through lack of time to use it and offered me it for a ridiculously low number. I'm getting married this year and all funds are tied up   :'( :'( There can't be more than 20 of this model left, maybe less

General Car Chat / Mondeo tdci help
« on: 07 February 2015, 07:01:37 »
I picked this up as a breaker but to be honest it seems to be in very good shape considering the miles and has had a shed load spent on it, new DMF and timing chain kit. I've only heard it run briefly due to being ill but the seller said it has full power, egr is clean and works fine, injectors have been tested and turbo is all good. I'm going to start with checking all air pipes for splits and after that maybe look  at the timing but any other suggestions welcome. The cat is worth £120 so I can't lose on it  :y

Omega General Help / Another ABS ecu question
« on: 12 January 2015, 20:10:18 »
Been trying to help out a guy whos fried his ecu on his  2.5 manual V6, previous info here stated it had to be a V6 manual replacement ABS ecu as I already had one from a 4 pot. Will one from a 2.6 manual do the job??????? or will the DBW difference cause an issue

General Discussion Area / ebay global shipping farce
« on: 12 January 2015, 20:07:22 »
I sold a grille a while ago and the postage address was somewhere in Derby so off it went as normal, few weeks later I get an email from a pissed off Swedish guy wondering where his grille is.....I hadn't heard of the "global shipping programme" which all users were automatically opted into which allows buyers anywhere to buy from sellers that don't ship beyond the UK .

Cue the amount of shite you can expect when dealing with the tossers that run ebay. Guy was very patient and we ended up having a good laugh over it and today he eventually received a replacement grille from me at no cost to him but I thought it best to make people aware of the possible pitfall  >:(

You know....when the dog starts staring worryingly into the corner of the room....then you spot a moth the size of a frickin bird....then you try and trap it(the moth) ...then the b-stard starts dancin on your face....then you scream like a girl... no? must just be me then!
