Just checking as not with the car, undo 2 bolts through the hub and strut, pull hub assembly forward then 3 nuts on top of inner wing and the strut should come out?

General Discussion Area / Dogs/surgery
« on: 21 June 2017, 15:53:07 »
Our 7yr old rescue pooch Luckie is having terrible trouble with her drivers side hind leg, vet initially said arthritis and has been treating with anti inflammatory and Pardale tabs but it's not really helping much and she's in a lot of pain. Took her back today and new consensus is likely cruciate ligament issue. She's booked in for sedation and x rays as well as a proper examination while zonked which will cost £350 then any ligament repair will come in at £2500. I have insurance covering up to £3000 so will hopefully scrape in with that but should it prove to be Arthritis we are talking an £8000 hip replacement.

Anyone had experience of a doggy ligament repair and did it work ok?

General Discussion Area / Breakdown/tin tents?
« on: 09 May 2017, 22:09:04 »
75 yr old Father Omegod is still an adventurous soul and has headed up to the lakes in his freelander2 SD4 along with his pride and joy caravan, he had an EML on last week which was coming up as cam sensor, I offered to change it but it went out and the stubborn bugger convinced himself it was fine. You can guess whats happened ::) He is now stranded and the local Land Rover dealer is booked up so can't help, AA have confirmed it's a cam sensor fault. He has recovery I believe but is flapping about the caravan only going to his home address rather than it's storage site which for some reason is a massive issue.

Anyone able to advise if it can go to a different location ? He's getting a bit stressed and is inclined to make silly decisions and I can see myself heading up with a cam sensor tomorrow after work which I don't mind at all.

2.2 auto saloon in Z147 with decent panels , only done 63k,runs perfectly and has working LPG kit on, ex Franks Dad's motor that failed MOT on alleged crusty brake pipe and an as yet unfound weld needed on the front end,I'll investigate further but feel it's destined for breaking.

Happy to sell in one piece but doubt anyone wants it so  I'll start with front locking solenoids at £20 each.
